GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — An elderly woman was killed late Thursday night in a Glendora house fire.
The fire broke out at a home in the 900 block of East Cypress Avenue just after 11 p.m., Glendora police said.
When firefighters arrived, they found an elderly man outside the home who told them his wife was still inside, officials said.
Firefighters were not able to enter the home due to the flames and heavy smoke.
The woman was later found dead inside the home, which was heavily damaged, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Her husband was not injured.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
